We would like to have this site rated for everyone, including children. We ask to keep content polite, clean and no profanity of any kind. Do not show on the map exactly where you live, or give out any personal information. Our service does not parse the Lat,Lng into a township name by design, as a safety measure.

Basicaly creating an "Yrautibo" is like saying creating an "Obituary", only less depressing, you are doing the reverse, and posting a birth, or birthdate of somoeone. The service is really aimed at new born babies, but you can post anyones birth as long as you have their concent to do so online.

When you create an account, you have tools at your disposal to post an Yrautibo. You can pick a spot on the map, where a small popup shows you quick information and leads visitors to view the "Full Page" view of your post.

People can leave comments on your "Full Page" view, but only after you approved them from your "Profile" page or your "Control Panel" if you prefer that term.

It is completely painless and quick to create an account on this website. All you need is a legitimate email address that will never be posted or spammed by our system.

Keep the image decent! Absolutely no nudity will be tolerated on this site. Posting malicious images will get you band from the service. Only 1 image per post is allowed. Our system reduces the size of the image considerably to save bandwidth, and to have the website function properly for everyone. You can edit and replace this image anytime at will.

To have the expected results you may be looking for, please follow this advise. We reduce the image where the longest side of the image will be no longer that 300 pixels. It would be a good practice to get the image ready before uplaoding it onto our server. Open your favorite image editor and rezise the image where the longest side is reduced to 300 pixels. If you like what you see, you need to do nothing, and you're ready to upload it to our server. If you're not, make a new file/image 300X300 pixels per inch. Take the image you want to upload and paste it into this new image file you just created. Arange the presentation of the image where your focal point is showing to what you want. Many image software will let you reduce the size and crop out backgrounds that are part of the image that are not the focal point of the attention you want to bring into the image.

The image file limit for the memory size is 1MB. We have strict limits in place to keep the service up and running and avoid anything that may crash the server from being overwhelmed. So if your image is more that 1MB in memory size you will need to reduce this in your favorite image editor before uploading it. There are many tutorials on the web to show you how to edit and manipulate images. The process in general is not complicated and is done quickly. We accept the JPG, JPEG, and PNG format only.

This site at the moment is in "test pilot" mode and uses a free service for the moment. Should Yrautibo get very popular quickly, the present map may stop working due to exceeded free policy use. We will be monitoring this closely as we aim to supply this service freely of charge.

The more you zoom in, more information will be shown. You will start to see smaller towns show up and street names. You can actually zoom in quite a bit. When you zoom out, the map icons start condensing and if there are too many in the same spot, you may need to zoom in to have it reappear.

It a good I idea to stay away from other icon as much as possible, so you might want to make your location choice while the map is zoomed out a little more. You can always mention the town or city inside your description along with any other info you may want to share.

It is not recommended that you show on the map exactly where you live, or give out any personal information.
